Would you attend your ex's wedding if invited?

Senario 1:

You are at a shopping centre. You are looking at something when someone taps you on your shoulder. You turn around and who do u see? Your ex! He/She smiles and asks "Hi, How are you?" You force out a smile and say,"I'm ok."

"Its been a long time since we met right. Hope everything is fine. Anyway its good that I met you. Can you give me your number? I'm getting married next month. I'll send you the invitation." is what you hear next. You don't know whether to be glad or be sad but you exchange numbers anyway and bid goodbye.

Senario 2:

"Ring" You hear your handphone ringing. You pick it up and an unfamiliar number flashes. You answer cautiously. "Hello.." Its a familiar voice but whose could it be. "Hi, Its me,_____." What the f**k?? Its your ex on the line. You are like, What the hell does he/she want!! and are about to hang up when..."I got your number from _____. I want to invite you to my wedding. Can you give me your address?" You remain quiet for a while but give your address anyway. He/She thanks you and hangs up.

Would you attend his/her wedding?

This topic appeared in a column in Monday's edition of the Straits Times and I tot its a good topic to ponder about. I thought of those senarios. And..No, these didn't happen to me.

In the Straits Times poll:

-65% said: Yes,Why not? We may no longer be a couple but we can still be friends. I'm a gracious person.

-35% said: No, No way, Jose. Just in case he/she takes the opportunity to spite me or gloat about him/her getting to the finish line first.

If you ask me, I would say, of course, NO! Not for the reason that my ex might spite me. Its just that I won't be comfortable. What if mutual friends give me that pathetic look or compare me with the bride in the wrong way? Even though I'm attached, I would really feel very uncomfortable.

Any comments???

Desperate Housewives

Caught the premiere episode of Desperate Housewives today on Channel 5.

Its ok to watch but kinda a bit boring though. Let's see if its gets any better next week. But my favourite is of course Teri Hatcher ('Susan'). But she looks pretty old now, with wrinkles. I guess age is catching up with her. I also like 'Lynette' who has 4 monsterous kids-the kids are so cute, always making trouble for her!! The prettiest would be 'Gabrielle'-a 'tai-tai' romancing her 17-year-old gardener. Boy, she's hot.

You know, One of my wishes would be to become a housewife after having my first kid...but I'm not very sure about this. It would be nice to stay at home and cook and do the housework and look after the kids but it could get boring after a while....oh well...let's see what the future brings....

I'm not sleepy yet. What can I do to make myself sleepy???

Only U can make me feel....

I outta get my ass kicked......

Wanna know why? I again gave some more cloth to be stitched as punjabi suits at JB yesterday. Ain't I incorrigible? But it does feel good when you are getting more clothes rite??? Hehe...Women!

I really am a Survivor! This week I worked 3 night shift-Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And yesterday I went to JB after doing night shift on Friday without sleeping at all. Came back at 3+ and then took a nap for the night shift yesterday. Naughty rite!

But I survived. Didn't even feel sleepy at all. Was very energetic enough to roam around at JB. We went to Kamdar at Kotaraya to look at some cloths. Boy, they are so nice and cheap. Had a hard time resisting them.

My Hari Raya Haji holiday was great. Went to me aunt's place at AMK and had a wonderful time whacking the food. I think if I spent a month at her place, noone would be able to recognise me after that. I would have gained at least 10 kg eating my aunt's cooking everyday.

:)

Hey, see Pretty Gal...hehehe (tak malu seh...)

U know what...Kumar applied nail polish for me today, on my toes too....So sweet! Muack!

Indian Men!

Today is only Tuesday..so boring... (I'm Bored!)

But there's just 2 more days to the public holiday. Yipee!!! I'm working night shift on Thursday and Friday. So I can sleep and sleep and sleep in the afternoon.....but tat's till my dumb BF comes to my place. After that I have to wake up....shitty men....

U know after my night shift on Friday and Saturday, I had been feelin like a zombie. Didn't sleep properly on Sunday...thanks to my wondeful BF(asshole!). I only feel better today after sleeping during lunch and sleeping early at night yesterday . I think later during lunch, I wanna sleep again. The more rest, the better.

Anyway next Tuesday is Thaipusam and so yesterday night, I was telling Kumar that I am starting vegetarian today. I was also saying that I don't know what to eat since my cafeteria's vegetarian food sucks and also that Big Momma is not cookin nowadays. And he started la..."U can cook what. But something from G-value and you cook. You can also make rasam rite. You can buy some vegetables from G-value and keep and just make rasam and cook some veges. Sat u on off rite, you can go market, buy things...."....blah blah blah....

Hasha, I totally agree with you....Indian men are so long-winded!!!

Anyway CONGRATS to the Lions for winning the Tiger Cup!!! Watched the match at home, it was great!

Night shift...

Did my first night shift yesterday at Cheers CCK...I think I didn't blog about getting a part-time job rite...

Well, nowadays Big Momma (my mum's nick from now on..hehehe) is not cooking anymore. And I'm not doing much housework too except for the weekly stuff. And I'm bored at home with nothing to do. So I decided to get a part-time job. Went to a few places like Body Shop Lot 1 and NTUC but they had no vacancies. Tried Cheers CCK and they said ok. So I started in the first week of Jan.

I don't work everyday so having 2 jobs is not so tough. But tired at times la. On weekdays I work from 7 pm-11 pm and I don't mind doing night shifts on Friday and Saturday nights. And yesterday I did my first night shift. I never sleep the whole day on Friday. Night shift is actually from 11pm-7am and I thought that after coming back from work, I can sleep for a while but the manager asked me to come early since they was not enough staff. So i started at 7 pm. I'm surprised at myself u know. I survived night shift without falling asleep or getting any headaches. But i did yawn a lot!

Kethrine is a SURVIVOR!!!

But the moment I came back, the only thing I could do was sleep. Woke up at 3 pm. Went to the library at Lot 1. Borrowed a book to read later tonight-me doing night shift again today. Yesterday I was reading old magazines. Finished 4 in one night.....

Still feel a bit tired though......

JB again...

Today I was on off. All the hours that I worked OT came to 8 hours and I decided to clear it today since Kumar was also on off.

We went to JB. I actually wanted to collect my suits but the tailor had not fixed them yet. Slow man! So we framed up the cross-stitch that I did for Kumar. Lovely isn't it?

Made with love....

Its still at my place coz Kumar told me to bring it to his house. Didn't want it to break when he's riding.

As usual, we pumped petrol. Went to Holiday Plaza shopping centre that was further in and I bought a pair of jeans for only RM25. Looks nice with some tribal designs on the back and pockets. And I whacked my favourite Maggi goreng. So tasty! Then bought some stuff and came back. As always...I love spending money at JB.

I don't get it. The bike section is always packed whether its going to JB and coming back from there. Where do all these bikes come from? My right leg almost got cramped while waiting to get thru the customs. Shitty!!

Ok, me gonna play SIMs......

Suicidal Thots

Ok, i officially declared that my neighbourhood is the perfect place for suicides!!

Well, on Saturday night while i was watching 'Iyarkai'(Tamil movie-Finally i watched that movie!!!!) on Vasantham Central and I heard loud voices of a female voice shouting in Tamil. My house is on the 5th floor and at night I can hear people talking and cars, motorbikes driving in and out and so I passed it off as some old Indian lady talking away while walking. But then the screams got louder and someone was crying out loud.

And as usual being the 'Kapoh' Kethrine, I had to look out of the window. I saw a woman sitting on the railing of the top storey of the multi-storey carpark, trying to jump and there was this Indian man shouting at her not to jump. I was like, "Shit not another one!!!" I was close to calling the police when the woman got down and the guy hugged her and they stood there for a while and then they walked away hand in hand.

Now why did I say "Not another one"? Basically because, a Chinese woman jumped from my block to her death last year. Boy, I was so terrified. I actually heard her body fall to the ground. That sound was unforgettable.....

Freaky!

Goal!!

Guess what the New Year has got me into????

Soccer!!!

"Kethrine doesn't watch soccer but thanks to her stupid boyfriend, she now enjoys watching football." Yes, i officially enjoy soccer matches. Yesterday Kumar and I watched the Singapore vs Myanmar match and today I watched the Norwich City vs Liverpool match with Kumar. And guess what, today i actually enjoyed watching the match. Actually its not just 2 days of ESPN Sports channel that got it me addicted...Kumar loves soccer and everytime we watch TV, he simply loves to switche to those football matches that are endless on ESPN Sports!

Oh well, Soccer is kinda fun after all!!

Anyway Mr Uthuman Ghani, a popular TV celebrity and well-known lawyer passed away yesterday evening. He was one of those judges for the Super Friends 04/05 Finals varierty show on Vasantham Central yesterday. He passed away after the show.

I had always been a fan of his. I tried never to miss the shows that he hosts. He has always been my favourite host who spoke Tamil with such perfection. His death came as a shock. We have lost a wondeful man......My condolences.....

Happy 2005!

A new year is born!! Welcome 2005!!!

Its not a very good time for celebrations with destruction everywhere but then its the New Year and we should welcome 'Happiness'...

Well, my New Year's Eve was not so bad. Went for the Stage 4 Countdown at Fort Canning Green. I went just because we were invited and it was free entrance. Its was quite fun, dancing in the rain. My mum did a small performance there! She danced while Maragatham was singing 'Sirichi Sirichi'.....not gonna comment on that...

Went to the temple in the morning today. Just the rain got on nerves and my body. Kumar came over and we spent a nice afternoon at home. So nice to spend New Year at home.

My wish for the New Year: I'm happy with what I have, don't want anything more. Just wish that everyone should be happy and healthy. And please, I hope that there are less tragedies this year. Had enough in 2004.

HaPpY nEw YeAr!!
